I'm wondering if I can use Wirecast with a streaming appliance. I would like to be able to manipulate the stream, such as add graphics to what is streaming, on the Telestream Niagra 7500. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks!

Larry , you are right. Taking off the preview windows helps especially with HD streams

With an insufficient graphics card, Wirecast won't even start up, or FMLE may have to be run with no preview windows open. But once you meet the threshold required to start the software, I don't know if more powerful cards make much difference to encoding performance.

There are times that disabling the preview windows in the encoders save some CPU cycles, and I'd imagine that a more powerful graphics card will help with that. If you're previewing input and output on HD streams as you encode, taking some of the load off of your CPUs can't hurt.

Hi Larry,

Does FMLE and Wirecast work better with powerful graphics cards (ATI Radeon or nVidia ) in your experience? Is that what you mean by display drivers above?
